The newest 30”x40” acrylic painting of seashells collected off of Cayo Costa, FL shoreline. The words painted within it are All is Well to act as a reminder to stay positive during the many challenges presented in 2020. Painting began in May 2020, finished in December 2020.
Video of the beginning of my painting, words painted in it are All is Well. This is going to be a scene of a shell collection from Cayo Costa, FL
Under every painting I paint a positive word. Sometimes you can see it, other times it is completely painted over. I feel it vibrates positivity to me as I paint, and that translates to the viewer as well.
My paint of choice is acrylics. I love how I can layer the color, and add many colors in one brushstroke. I'm a messy painter, so the fact that it dries fast is a big plus. I am inspired by nature! Often the most overlooked things -weeds, cars buried in the weeds, women walking in the weeds! I love vintage, and I love to paint woman in empowering scenarios too.

This outlet allowed her to continue to grow as an artist.
With her attention to detail and super realistic approach, she has had many gallery showings across the country, been published in numerous books, newspapers, magazines and is an international/nationally awarded artist.
As a sensitive person, I question every aspect of life, including myself. In my younger years, this took shape as a mountain of sadness and low self worth that I would spend decades failing to climb. I began learning how to create art, yet poor choices and many destructive behaviors often absorbed my creative time and energies. I did not do well in Art School!
Becoming a wife and mother raised the stakes and the anxiety I felt. I wanted love and happiness for my family. To stay connected and know their worth from within, but how?
I would spend many years gathered around tables with like minded fellows learning how to heal my wounded conscience.
I began practicing a life affirming inner dialogue with words, thoughts and positive intentions. It doesn’t shut off my intense feelings, yet it makes me feel more grateful and at peace. I still question every aspect, including myself, yet my thoughts that led me in, now lead me out to brighter horizons.
I put positive words in my art to stay uplifted as I work, and raise the vibration of the piece.
I start with a meaningful subject and add my positive words. As i paint, my detailed technique holds my focus and the colors communicate an energy that often feels good to me. When complete, the art emanates a positive charge, inviting the viewer to feel the shift too.
The family is doing great too!
I choose a positive words that has meaning to me
I start laying the painting over it. I translate my feelings into the art.
I often conceal (or not) the word in the painting, and it vibrates positivity to the viewer!!
Check out this great video of me starting a new painting. The lettering has always been an integral part of my paintings. I work daily on being positive, and I want to share that vibration any way possible!!
